MEET THE TEAM – LISA R

July 31, 2020

We have been fortunate to work with Lisa for just over three years! She is based out of Tundra’s Calgary office and works in our Shared Services department. We appreciate her committed work ethic, funky character, and sense of humour!

We connected with Lisa and asked her to answer some personal questions about herself, and here is what we found:

What does your role at Tundra encompass?

I work with our Shared Services Team, coordinating orders for our Instrumentation & Controls product lines, primarily GMI/MSA.

What do you do at Tundra, and in what circumstance would I come to you?

My role is to ensure that orders are processed and on time, while communicating updates to our inside and outside sales teams, and our clients. You would come to me if you required expediting, coordination of product, and shipping updates. And, if my colleagues ever need to chat, I am always happy to lend an ear!

What is a skill that not many people know you posses?

I am quite creative and have a lot of hobbies that include drawing, cooking, and creating fun looks with wigs. I love wearing them to the office because people don’t recognize me right away!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a Vet, but I realized that I have a hard time seeing animals in pain.

What is one thing that you’re currently trying to make a habit?

Working out! In the last year and a half, I have lost just over 45lbs, and working out has been something that I have tried to make a constant in my life. I am hoping to eventually do a Tundra Talk presentation on my journey to share my journey with colleagues.

What is your favorite thing to cook?

Taco’s and my amazing Cherry Dr. Pepper Ham. I love to cook for my friends!

If you could give one piece of advice to a 10-year-old you, what would it be?

That you are stronger than you think, and to not sweat the small stuff in life.

What is your hometown?

I’m originally from Scotland, specifically a small village called Lower Largo, located in East Fife.

What do you enjoy most about working at Tundra?

I really enjoy the collaboration with my coworkers and the fact that our team is always pushing each other to achieve our goals, both personally, and professionally!
