Philanthropy

Philanthropy at Tundra Process Solutions Ltd.

Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. is committed to supporting the communities in which we do business. Our commitment to the community is reinforced throughout the year in various activities. Below are just a few charities that we hold near and dear to our hearts here at Tundra!

    Imagine Canada

Tundra Process Solutions is officially an “Imagine” Caring Company! Imagine Canada recognizes Canadian companies that have a strong presence within the community. To be considered an Imagine Canada company, the company must donate a minimum of 1% of profits to non-profit organizations. Whether it’s our Annual Stampede BBQ, ugly sweater day, hosting a rock climbing wall to raise funds, bad beards for men’s cancer or the hundreds of hours of staff time donated to the Calgary flood relief, we are always looking for fun ways to engage our friends, family, customers and colleagues to give back within an atypical corporate environment. There are only 89 companies in Canada that are Imagine Companies, so we are part of a very exclusive club!

Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta (KCCFA)

Since 2010, Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. has been a strong supporter of KCCFA. Tundra strongly believes in supporting the local community whether it’s in the form of a donation or Tundra's staff volunteering their time and effort. The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, is a charitable organization that helps families who are fighting childhood cancer in Alberta. Itsprograms are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the entire family at each stage of their cancer journey, starting from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

Alberta Cancer Foundation: Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer

Since 2009, The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer has raised over $54 million for The Alberta Cancer Foundation. Funds raised through Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer enable the Alberta Cancer Foundation to support breakthrough research and the discovery of new cancer therapies at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Cross Cancer Institute and 15 other centers across Alberta. As the largest cancer foundation in Alberta, The Alberta Cancer Foundation’s mission is to achieve a cancer-free future, so they invest in cancer prevention and screening, enhanced care and research across Alberta.

Tundra True Spirit of Hockey Day

Kindergarten to grade six-aged youth in Alberta will benefit from the continuation of a partnership between Hockey Alberta and Tundra Process Solutions. Tundra and Hockey Alberta are teaming up for the second year to host the True Spirit of Hockey Day, in conjunction with the Hockey Alberta provincial championships, and other Hockey Alberta events in March and April 2016.

Students in participating schools, regardless of family income or gender, will be exposed to the game of hockey. During this day-long event, students will learn the rules of the game, engage with their classmates, and learn the importance of teamwork and skill building.

True Spirit of Hockey Day events will be held in designated communities as part of provincial championships in March, as well as other Hockey Alberta tournaments in April. Hockey Alberta is currently accepting applications from Local Minor Hockey Associations to host provincials (download from hockeyalberta.ca), and included in the application package is the opportunity to work with a local school to host True Spirit of Hockey Day. Host communities for True Spirit of Hockey Day events will be announced in mid-December, in conjunction with the announcements of provincial championship locations.
