Tundra Process Solutions Hosts First Annual Fundraising Bonspiel

March 2nd, 2012 - Tundra Process Solutions hosted our first annual fundraising Bonspiel at the North Hill Curling Club in Calgary, AB. With more than 50 staff members and clients, we were able to raise more than $4600 for the Kids Care Cancer Foundation from the items at our silent auction.

With 12 teams in total, our big winners were Jeremy Randle, Colin Davison, Gerald Desrochers & Iggy Domagalski. They dominated the tournament, took home the Tundra “Funspiel” trophy and of course earned bragging rights for next year.

Congratulations again to the winning team, and thank you to everyone that could make it out!

Tundra & Clients Get Cooking!

Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. hosted its 3rd cooking class on Feb 24th, 2012 at The Cookbook Company downtown Calgary. With 35 staff members, clients and spouses, this class turned out to be one of our biggest cooking classes yet. We learned lots of new tricks from Chef Alain and got to enjoy each other’s hard work at the end of it all. Thank you to everyone who came out to make this night a great success! We look forward to doing another class in March.

Scale the Tundra Climbing Wall

Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. is the proud sponsor of the ISA Climbing Wall at the ISA Edmonton 2012 Exhibit & Conference, “Scaling New Heights”, April 18th & 19th at the Edmonton Expo Centre.

Tundra has recently partnered with the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and will be using the Climbing Wall to raise money in support of this charity. The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta (KCCFA) is a charitable organization that helps build bridges of hope and pillars of support for families fighting childhood cancer. The foundation helps Alberta children and families by providing funding through Camp & Community, Pediatric Oncology Research, Clinical Support and KCC Derek Wandzura Memorial Scholarships.

Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is guided by the following vision and mission:

Our vision a cure for every child, care for every family.

Our Mission Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is passionately dedicated to helping young people affected by cancer and their families survive and thrive in body, mind and spirit.

We invite you to test your skills and scale the Tundra Climbing Wall for a minimum donation of $10 per climb. 100% of all money raised from the Climbing Wall will be donated to KCCFA. This challenge is sure to create some friendly competition for both exhibitors and attendees at ISA 2012. The Tundra Climbing Wall will be located at the back right corner on the Exhibit Floor

Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids

Tundra Process Solutions would like to thank the 18 Tundra volunteers who helped out last week with Brown Bagging 4 Kids. With our support, we made over 1324 healthy lunches for kids that would otherwise would not have a lunch.

Tundra donates to CNRL – Wolf Lake and Primrose Charity of choice

Jeff Durocher from Tundra’s Edmonton office showed his support by volunteering for CNRL’s charity BBQ on June 1, 2011. Tundra helped sponsor this event by donating $600 to CNRL’s charity of choice -Haying in the 30’s (for cancer support) and the Dr. Margaret Savage Crisis Centre (for women & children fleeing domestic violence). Tundra also provided CNRL $400 worth of prizes for their 50/50 draw with half the proceeds going towards these two charities.

This event was a great success!

Tundra Employees win a free lunch from CJAY 92!

Team Tundra would like to thank Mark Hardy -Tundra’s shipper/receiver for entering Tundra into the free lunch contest from CJAY 92!

The CJAY road crew came out to deliver the lunch to our office on August 9th 2011. We enjoyed great food and great company. Thanks again to Mark and CJAY!

Tundra has teamed up to sponsor the Calgary Police departments women’s dragon boat team

Tundra has teamed up to sponsor the Calgary Police department women’s dragon boat team – The Bad Buoys. It is a team of 15 women whom are sworn members of the Calgary Police Service. Their team has trained together for the past 3 years.

Last weekend August 6th & 7th, Tundra was out to show our support and watch the 2011 Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival. The Bad Buoys came in first for the Calgary Chinatown Centennial Cup (Women’s Finals). Congratulations to the ladies and we wish them luck in their next race!

Tundra’s First Annual Family Day!

Tundra Process Solutions would like to invite you and your family to our first annual Tundra family day event!

This event will have some great hospitality including a BBQ, carnival games, face painting, Balloon twisting and a 9 hole mini-put course.

When: Saturday, August 27th – 11:00am - 3:00pm
Where: Fish Creek Park – Glennfield Area A (East)
How: You must RSVP to lindsayc@tundrasolutions.ca – please include your
child’s age and how many people will be attending.
