We have an opening for an Electrical Designer. The successful candidate will be a professional who reflects our corporate commitment to providing exceptional services to our Clients. They will
be a graduate of a recognized post secondary institution and have the required experience to meet all the skills as listed.

Skills:

Prepare and review electrical drawings
-
Single line diagrams, power distribution, area classifications, panel layouts and heat trace isometrics
-
Develop load lists and electrical MTO’s
-
Review vendor electrical designs and drawings
-
Work with electrical and instrumentation engineering and other engineering and drafting disciplines
-
Vendor drawing review process
-
Provide man hour estimates for electrical and instrumentation drawing deliverables
-
Coordinate design requirements with project team members;
-
Review P&ID’s in order to create electrical drawings and specifications
-
Be familiar with electrical construction contract documents
-
Be familiar with electrical RFQ’s, evaluate quotations and create purchase orders
-
Do general requisitions for electrical equipment

Review and mark-up package/skid drawings
Qualifications:
-
Electrical engineer or designer - professional designation not required
-
Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma from an accredited post secondary institution is required.

Min 10 years experience in electrical design.

Must have significant VFD and harmonics experience.

Must be an AutoCAD expert.

Oil & gas experience an asset.

Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Additional software computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
